As a long-time part of Nevada County, I am reinvigorated to join a mature and skilled team such as that at Ember Salon. From the first moment I walked in, I knew this was the next part of my continuing journey in this amazing career. Though I absolutely love doing hair, it was not my first career. I learned how to connect with others and offer stellar service while working in the restaurant industry. After over 2 decades in the kitchen & bar, I made a huge shift in my life. As I entered my commitment to sobriety, I decided to take the advice of a friend and go to cosmetology school. Nearly 25 years later, I am still grateful for her suggestion and satisfied with the hard work I put in to get where I am. I have never felt more comfortable in my career and my life-path. I’ve studied with many great teachers from the AVEDA Concept Methods, as well as Vidal Sasson, where I learned my precision cutting techniques. I have melded my learning with my own sense of artistry. I often cut hair dry so I can see the wave patterns, cow-licks and other things that make your hair unique. When you go home and style it, you’ll be able to see the difference in my technique.

My true passion is connecting to the person in my chair. You’ll know from the first moment you spend time with me that my love for life and connection is funneled into the way I receive my guests and stay connected with their personality and vision throughout the appointment.

Years ago, I used to be in a hurry like many in our society. Through a variety of life lessons that were handed to me along the way, I pride myself in my ability to slow down. You will always feel like a royalty in my chair. I will never rush your appointment to try to cram too many things into my day. I enjoy my work so much and I am honored to spend the time we need to get the result you desire.

When not at the salon, you can find me spending time with my grandkids, playing golf, collecting feathers for art or enjoying our beautiful outdoors.
